True destiny

We should give our dreams – the things which we hope to do and achieve – a chance. Many of us have lofty dreams as a child, but as we grew up, we slowly let go of those dreams, dismissing them as unrealistic.

We dreamt of becoming a famous scientist, world class pianist or rich businessman when we were hopeful and impressionable ten-year-olds, but stopped taking those dreams seriously as we grew older. Why? Because we think that those dreams are impossible to achieve, that we’d be foolish to pursue them and that only those few lucky people get to attain their childhood dreams.

So, we ease into the state of being just ordinary, and we thought that now we’re being realistic as opposed to being naively idealistic as a child. But the truth is just that we’ve given up too easily. To be successful, we need to possess a certain amount of idealism.

Of course, we can always argue that a young child does not know about life and its difficulties, and so, they’ll have dreams that strike their fancy and that may not be realistic. But if we really want to achieve our dreams, we should stop making excuses and start taking our dreams seriously.

Many of us fail to achieve our dreams because we like to dismiss them as impossible without trying. Dreams will only come true by trying. Often, we need to try many times, and efforts also include working hard, learning, improving ourselves and looking for opportunities. If we’ve never tried, how do we know that we cannot succeed? Also, we must not be afraid to fail. Successful people do fail many times before they achieved success. We should never let the fear of failing keep us from succeeding.

But then again, there is a reality check. Not all our dreams will become reality. Sad to say, but it’s true. Therefore, if that’s the case, why should we bother to pursue our dreams in the first place, only to expose ourselves to heartache should our dreams fail to come to pass. We might as well forget about having dreams and save ourselves from the possibility of disappointment and shattered hopes. However, to do that would be cowardice. Who knows whether or not we’ll achieve our dreams unless we first try, unless we give ourselves and also our dreams a chance? And to give our dreams a chance, we need to have courage.

It takes courage to pursue our dreams, because in the course of pursuing it, we’re bound to face setbacks and failures. We need the courage to face those failures and to keep on trying. And as I’ve said before, not all dreams will be fulfilled. We need great courage to accept that and to move on to pursue and succeed in other endeavors should any of our dreams fail to become reality. To pursue a dream is also to take risks. It is like a gamble. You stake your time, energy and money for the sake of trying to attain your dreams, but in the end, you may or may not win. You risk facing disappointment and broken dreams. But if you do not take the risk at all, you lose one hundred percent the chance of ever winning.

The choice is ours. We could forget about dreams and thus also forgo any possibility of achieving our hearts’ desires. Alternatively, we could give ourselves a chance by working towards our dreams, but not without the price of taking risks and facing possible failure. Courage, together with hope, are vital for a person who wants to achieve his or her dreams. Ultimately, a person who possesses courage and hope, even if he or she first encounters failure, will eventually be a success.

My great mum-MANO.K

I am about to embark on a new life which is the life after school. I feel a little bit sad that i'll no longer be in school but life goes on and I have to move on too. I've set certain goals in my life and one of it is to be of service to others. Service above self has been one of my principles in life and I intend to accomplish that goal. My mother whom I really admire. I say this because there is so much to admire about her. Her generosity and love towards others is so amazing. People who step into her house just dont want to leave as there's so much love there. Whenever my family goes there, she will be serving us all kinds of food to eat and she will be bustling to get things done. She also helps the less fortunate people around her. This lady is a fantastic woman and she has been an example to me as well because when we give of yourself and serve others with our best, we will be blessed and most importantly we will feel the joy of being able to help someone. This is her purpose and now I'm making it my purpose. We need to believe that what we give is what we get in return,no matter where or who we are but beneath our heart we will feel peace and calm after helping another human being.What about you ?Start to care for others...

Perfect weekend

My Malacca Sports Club left for Singapore for the Annual Sports Tournament held every year.
As my club was the defending champion,we lost the 1st match to Penang Sports Club 1-5.The reason:You need hardwork to achieve success.Well,obviously my team did not train and the Penang players was mentally and physically prepared.
You know what i mean!
That night,my losing players went clubbing,had alcohol and party till 4 am.

Saturday 02/12 1530pm
But guess what?We won the 2nd game 2-1 against the home team Singapore which had ex-national player Lim Tong Hai.Infact,we're down 0-1 at half time.
We became the overall champion for that tournament.
So,what's the formula to acheive success?

a)Train hard
b)Drink alcohol
c)Party hard
d)Less rest
e)Luck
f)Motivation of ex national player.

A good sales person

An Indian moves to Montreal, Canada and goes to a big department store looking for a job.

The manager asks, "Do you have any sales experience?"

The Indian says, "Yeah, I was a salesman back home".
Well, the manager liked the young man, so he gave him the job. "You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did, but let me give you a bit of advice.
If a customer comes looking, say, for toothpaste, you
might suggest for him a toothbrush, or shaving cream etc.

You get the idea?"

"Of course," the young man said. His first day on the job was rough but he got through it.

After the store was locked up, the manager came down. "How many sales did you make today?

The Indian says, "One"

The manager groans, "Just one? Our sales people average 20 or 30 sales/day.
How much was the sale for?"

The Indian says, "$101,237.64."

The manager exclaims, "What? $101,237.64? What did you sell him?"

The Indian replied, "First I sold him a small fish hook. Then I sold him a medium fishhook. Then I sold him a larger fishhook. Then I sold him a new fishing rod. Then I asked him where he was going fishing, and he said down
at the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department, and I sold him that twin engine Chris Craft. Then he
said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I took him down to the automotive department and sold him that 4X4 Pajero."

The manager says "You mean a guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a boat and truck?!"

The Indian says, "No, no, no, he came in here to buy a box of Kotex for his wife and I said, "Well, since your weekend's already screwed up you might as well go fishing."
